Grand Slam Charters is based on Providenciales – known locally as ‘Provo’ - the cultural centre of the Turks & Caicos Islands.
With well over 30 years’ fishing experience in Turks & Caicos, our captain and crew can provide everything the serious and novice angler need to land the trophy of a lifetime.
GWENDOLYN
Our boat, Gwendolyn, is the heart and soul of our charter operation. Well known in the region. It is the largest charter boat in the Turks & Caicos: a 45-foot Hatteras yacht, fully air-conditioned and powered by two Detroit 871 engines, complete with a Pompanette Unlimited heavyweight fighting chair for the angler.
Gwendolyn holds the Caribbean record for the largest Wahoo ever caught. It is also regularly used as a rescue boat to help recover other boats and crew in difficulties in the area.
Gwendolyn is located behind the Sharkbite Bar & Grill and Baci Ristorante on Providenciales.
STINGRAY - 18' Flats Boat for Flats Fishing
Stingray is our new 18ft flats boat. Her specialist design allows the craft to sail in 12 inches of water, whilst the wide, flat hull gives excellent stability.
Ideally suits two anglers plus captain. Features livewells, fish boxes fly rods x 2 spinning rods, polling platform. Please note Stingray design does not provide any shade. We recommend LONG SLEEVED SHIRT, SUN HAT AND SUN BLOCK.
WAHOOOO - 42' Pursuit Boat for Sports Fishing
The fastest fish in the sea and the fastest boat in TCI. This 42ft
pursuit boat is powered by 3 x 200 hp outboard engines and can reach
the Bahamas in two hours!
The double-skinned hull allows her to cut through waves giving an exceptionally smooth and exhilarating ride even over long distances. For long the choice of smugglers and drug runners, this boat is ideal for island hopping, beaching and snorkeling. Its design allows passengers to disembark onto the beach without stepping into the water.
High sides for safety with ample seating and certified to carry 20 passengers. There is ample space to walk around and the bow incorporates a “head” (toilet) and small storage cabin.
Fresh water shower (hose on deck) is ideal after a day o the beach & sea. Access ladder front and rear.

Although the captain and crew of Gwendolyn are proud of their knowledge and professionalism in introducing the Turks & Caicos Islands to our clients, they are the first to recognize that it is our boat – Gwendolyn – that really sets our business apart.
Built by Hatteras, Gwendolyn is a 45-foot air-conditioned yacht, powered by two Detroit 871 natural aspirated engines – the most popular and widely-used engines in the world, famous for their reliability. The hull itself is impossible to penetrate without a very high-powered drill – a reflection of the robustness and build quality.
At the stern is a Pompanette Unlimited fighting chair, chosen for its robustness and flexibility. Thanks to the boat, the chair and our expert instructions, even the most experienced angler need not have to heft more than 20lb of drag, even for an 800 lb blue marlin.
Gwendolyn is fully-equipped with fishing gear, as you’d expect, plus plenty of spares; a full array of VHF, satellite and radar communications equipment, hydraulic steering, a Raritan Marine head (toilet) and separate air-conditioning units for the salon and staterooms.
In the Turks & Caicos, Gwendolyn is something of a legend: it was the boat on which the largest ever Wahoo was caught and it is the only boat to have circumnavigated the entire island group three times. It has spent 4,500 days over the past 15 years out fishing, averaging 250 days’ fishing a year.
She is also used as a safety boat, when the need arises, when others – including other fishing charters – have got into trouble on the high seas. Yes, Gwendolyn is the soul of our operations, providing a reliable, safe and highly responsive platform for a great day’s fishing.
OUR CHARTERS
Full, half or multiple day trips are available (private or group charters) and fly-fishermen and women are welcome. Alcoholic beverages and a meal plan can be provided at an additional cost – we can also include our island’s guaranteed island seasickness remedy.
Departure and itinerary depend on weather conditions and availability, but we will always do our best to accommodate your needs. What we can promise (good news if you don’t travel well) is calm seas – unlike other charters which head a long way offshore into big rollers…
At the end of the day’s sport, we will round off a perfect day by arranging to have your fresh catch prepared by one of our many great island chefs – an unforgettable experience!
